RULES AND LAWS

A GUIDE TO STRESS FREE GROWTH

The joys of teaching

If you read my posts, you will see an underlying message, I love to learn, and what I learn is not only for the betterment of me, its for you, so in turn that means I love to teach. Through teaching you also learn, so for me it is a win win situation.

So here’s what I learned, from a practical standpoint.

The difference between rules and laws.

Rules can be bended

Laws cannot be broken without consequence

What does this mean for us?

As you decide what you want to accomplish this year, break things down between these two things.

Here are a couple of examples

Rule: No alcohol,

but if you must have wine

This is by no means an opportunity to slip up, but it does allow for the opportunity to not beat yourself up if you disobey this rule

Law: Workout daily

consequence: something that will not make you want to break the law again

The consequence needs a little more explaining. The consequence should be more particular to you, something I see as a consequence may very well be something that is not a big deal to you, for example

A consequence for me would be not being able to watch basketball, boxing, or learning. If one of those things didnt happen during the day for me not only would my current day be miserable but so would my next, however for you, you may not be doing that at all on a day to day basis anyways. The umbrella statement, choose a consequence that makes you not want to break the law again.

As you notice are progessively moving from theories to being practical and putting forth action, as you read if some of these topics arent sticking, I suggest circling back to some/most of my previous post.
