THE ICE CREAM DIET
SOUNDS CRAZY RIGHT
It’s not a diet, its a lifestyle
Sound cliche?
Well it is, but its also true
Your diet should be a lifestyle, your lifestyle, and wherever you are currently, it reflects that
This will make more sense at the end
First, you weigh and look a certain way depending on what you consume and what you do on a day to day basis, sounds simple, it is simple.
On paper
How do we make it simple in application, i have the solution.
It is a perfect balance between sacrifice, discipline, and a little bit of fun to not only help you get to where you want to be but help maintain.
Rule 1 with a diet
Understand you should be building a routine that you can sustain over the lifetime you decide to stay where you are at, and if you are not where you at you must stay discipline to create a routine with good habits to get you there and keep you there
So here we have it, THE ICE CREAM DIET , sounds crazy right?
But once you understand the method behind the madness you will see how sane i really am
THE SACRIFICE
You must fast for 24 hours once a week and if you can’t do that it must be at least 16. That is the Rule.
THE DISCIPLINE
You must track your food intake/ calories, yes i know it sucks however, you haven’t proven yourself capable to maintain your ideal physique without doing it
Here’s the good news once you reach your goal you can stop tracking and wont have to again until you decide to change again
That is the Rule
THE LITTLE BIT OF FUN
you will be able to eat some version of your favorite meals, the closer the version depends on what you are doing that day
Now here is the system
It is a system based on rewards for sacrifice and discipline that will help you build the burden of proof that you can continue to sacrifice and remain disciplined
Where did the Ice Cream come from
I love burgers, ice cream craves my sweet tooth, sushi is amazing, and I currently don’t do well with controlling myself around chips
My problem when deciding to reach a new physique goal is always under eating, which doesn’t allow me to retain as much muscle as i would like as i lose weight. Also tracking my food to keep energy high throughout the day is a problem for me and lastly keep my mood and emotions in check as I start eating less.
So Here is the new solution
This a day by day breakdown of how I do things, apply and critique accordingly
Monday
Wake up 4:40 am
Meal 1 (call it a meal or call it first time I put something in my mouth that has calories)
Protein Coffee
Workout 10:30am -12
Meal 2 ( the reward for working out, makes me motivated to workout and also excited to eat )
Double Cheeseburger
Meal 3
Steak or Salmon + Asparagus + Fruit
Meal 4
Ice Cream ( now protein ice cream, this is the reward for taking care of business for the day
Without going into the breakdown of what my day looks like the rest of the week the example should have you see the application of the theory
I work out daily , that is embedded in me, and yet at the same time that is not the reason i am currently not where i want to be , eating is, i love hamburgers, I use working out and my favorite hamburgers to create the good habit of eating.
That’s not the end of it, the hamburgers I eat are home made and each component of the hamburger is one ingredient, I guess you could call it a Clean Burger. Also the rest of my day eating there really isn’t much ‘fun’ until the end of the day
Ice Cream is the other reward that i get at the end of the day that is both motivation to take care of business diet and work wise, but also is a means to create a habit of not under eating. I can control myself with ice cream and not over eat
The discipline comes in understanding, I do not need to do more or less than this to reach my goal and maintain
The Sacrifice
Saturday Is a day where I have protein Coffee, Ice Cream, and dun dun Sushi
This doesn’t sound like much of a sacrifice, the sacrifice comes there after
Sundays we fast until dinner
This helps not only maintain a healthy relationship with food it also keeps me disciplined Mentally
If you want to copy this theory and its application to a tee, you will be successful but what i want you to take most from this Theory is how i built a sustainable diet for me, use the bread crumbs and create your own
